on tour.2Roll up, roll up! The Vintage Mobile Cinema starts its Black Country Tour tomorrow as part of the Home of Metal Roadshow (1-4 September). Visiting Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall and Cradley Heath, the Vintage Mobile Cinema is a 22-seat picturehouse on wheels that has been restored to its former glory. Come aboard and watch archival and Heavy Metal related short films for FREE!

Five Scottish lads, aged 10 to 13, get ready for a public performance with their heavy metal band, “Hatred.” They rehearse, fire their bass player, audition for a new one, make a CD at a recording studio, and appear at a family fun day. Humorous documentary from British director, Chris Waitt. Repeated at 19:20.

Originally screened on Channel 4 in the early 90s, Motorcity Music Years (dir. Jonnie Turpie), is a documentary celebrating Birmingham as the ‘UK city of music’. This will be followed by Home of Metal (dir. Daniel Bougourd, 2011), a 10 minute Sky Arts documentary charting the Home of Metal project from conception.
